Canmore Council unanimously approves first reading of TSMV ASPs

A virtual public hearing will take place on Tuesday, March 9 after Town of Canmore Council unanimously approved First Reading to adopt the Area Structure Plans (ASP) for Three Sisters Village and Smith Creek on Tuesday, February 9. The public hearing will allow residents, businesses, community organizations, TSMV and more to share their views.

“Drafting these two ASPs has been no small effort. The submissions before you presents a clear vision for TSMV’s remaining developable lands and this vision is informed by the voices of community members who have shared their ideas and input with us over the past five years,” said David Taylor, President, Three Sisters Mountain Village

If you support the ASPs for Three Sisters Village and Smith Creek, now is the time to send an email to Canmore’s elected officials or sign up to speak at the public hearing. To do so, email municipal.clerk@canmore.ca and reference Bylaws 2021-05 and 2021-06.

Written submissions received before 9 a.m. on Friday, March 5 will be published and distributed to Council before the hearing. Speakers will be assigned to one-hour time slots. If all speakers can’t be heard on March 9, the hearing will resume on March 10 at 9 a.m.
