An Application has been submitted to the AEP!
What does this mean?
This proposed wildlife corridor would be the Bow Valley’s WIDEST, and is the LARGEST COMMITMENT OF PRIVATE LAND for a corridor in Canada
THREE SISTERS MOUNTAIN VILLAGE (TSMV) would like to inform the public that a formal application has been made to Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP), proposing the alignment of the wildlife corridor in the Smith Creek area (formerly known as sites 7, 8, & 9) in compliance with the requirements of the Natural Resource Conservation Board (NRCB) decision.
- The application includes an optional relocation of the STEWART CREEK ACROSS VALLEY WILDLIFE CORRIDOR (subject to regulatory approvals)
- This would conclude TSMV’S COMMITMENT under the NRCB 1992 Decision 9103 to dedicate wildlife corridors
- An OPEN HOUSE is planned at the Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre on March 16, 2017 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Alberta Environment and Parks is seeking public input on the application. For further details on their feedback process click here
