Lake Louise

Just half an hour west of Three Sisters Mountain Village, Lake Louise was first discovered by Europeans in 1882. This beautiful milky blue lake lies at the foot of Victoria Glacier, which rises magnificently behind it. Across the lake, Château Lake Louise combines old-world charm with extraordinary shopping, dining and accommodations.

Home to one of North America’s largest downhill ski areas, Lake Louise – known fondly as the “Hiking Capital of Canada” – has a vast network of hiking and walking trails. A scenic drive brings visitors to the awe-inspiring Moraine Lake – a crystal-clear blue-green lake hemmed in by ten lofty mountain peaks.
